New chapter CT 11 has their first ride.

WV Chapter VI located in Follansbee, WV in conjunction with WTOV TV9 Steubenville, OH and the Salvation Army conducted their 2nd Annual Ride For A Reason poker run on June 27th 2010 to benefit Victims of Fire and the Coats For Kids program.  The ride encompassed 107 miles of beautiful riding in a poker format through West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio.  The starting point was the Hooverson Heights Vol. Fire Dept. in Follansbee, WV and the ending stop was Weirton, WV Elks Lodge 1801 where dinner and prizes were served.  This year’s run took 161 bikes and 220 people through the rolling hills of our valley to Avella, Pa, Wheeling, WV, and Hopedale, OH where bikers could view the Ohio ABATE Motorcyclists Memorial.  This year’s number more than tripled last year’s run numbers of 50 bikes and 65 people.  Because of the promotions aired by WTOV TV9 and participation of their “celebrities” at the various stops we raised just under $8,000 for both programs.  Several surrounding chapters included OH 9 from the east side of Cleveland, the group receiving the traveling the furthest prize, and PA13 located in Washington, PA were among many of the groups present.  The 3rd Annual Ride For A Reason is scheduled for June 26th 2011 and plans are under way to make this run bigger and better.

Here is Tom Delboi, European Ambassador on right presenting the President Merit Award to Claus Feederle, President of Germany 1 on the left at the Fire Ride on June 7th 2010.

Hi all, Last weekend (6/7/2010) was the first time that most of European RKMC chapters came together to meet each other.  Chapter Germany 1 (President Claus Feederle) invited us to a "Fire Ride", because their Fire Department celebrate his 150th anniversary during that weekend.

The Fire Ride was visited by chapters Belgium 1, Germany 1, Germany 2, Switzerland 1 and the MAL from Giessen (Germany 4, founding soon) and some Blue Knights.  During this Ride I honored Claus with the President Merit Award that you had sent me to present to him.

After the Ride all Red Knights visited the Anniversary Party, it finished at 04.30 a.m. early in the morning .... :-)

It was nice to enjoy the fraternity of Red Knights.  All the Red Knights have talked about their happy experience and they want to do more rides just like this one.  Many of them want to attend the int. convention in 2011.

I think Europe is on the way.

The Three Lakes Fire Department and Eagle River Area Fire Department put up their ladder trucks over the road and had a large American Flag hanging between them. The Red Knights Motorcycle Club Wisconsin Chapter 5 had a "Ride For the Memorial..." benefit ride to raise money to go to the Wisconsin State Fallen Firefighters Memorial. It was an awesome morning!

'Sam' is Byron Kilpatrick who passed away the day after NB 1 was granted their Charter. Pic's of our "FIRST" Memorial Ride for Sam.  Everyone agreed that it was a good ride.  The presentation of the Sammy’s Colors to the Upham Fire Department was the icing on the cake.  The BBQ put on by the department went over well.  Over all there were 34 or 35 Bikes with 40 some people.  16 Red Knights attended.  There were Freedom Riders, Canadian Motorcycle Cruisers, Widows Sons and a number of independents.  The turnout was good considering there were at least 4 others runs going on as well.  Thanks to all!

We had our 1st Red Knights weekend away on May 9, 2009.  We were in CT when this picture was taken.  Diona Laford and I were talking and I said "Look! How many Red Knights does it take to read a map?" Thank God she had the camera and got the shot that I wish I had taken, we were laughing pretty hard after she took it.

NICE SHOT from our Ma-2 first lady, Eddie Brouillet

We succeeded in setting the World's Largest Poker Run record this weekend.  The final tally was 2090 motorcycles and an estimated 5000 people.  Matt Nichols did an incredible job getting this all together and has put us in the record books.  This is Matt of FL 10 getting the certificate from Guinness saying we have the world record for the largest poker run.

Shown here are members of Minn 5 and Fergus Falls National Guard unit as Minn 5 accepted American flags that were flown over their fire base in Iraq. The flags were given in appreciation for the work Minn 5 did for guard members while they were deployed. These jobs included roofing, maintenance, snow removal and the like.

Members of the Red Knights GA Chapter 12 who participated in the Kelsi Long Charity Motorcycle Ride held March 21, 2009, in Augusta, Georgia. Money was raised to support the Medical College of Georgia Children Medical Center for Cancer Research.

I am Mike Davis from RKMCMD4, I am currently in IRAQ taking care of business and had a chance to fly the Red Knights Flag up in several places, one such place was the Baath Partys House which was taken out by a Tomahawk missile which I have included a few other pics as well.

President Michael Hommel and members of NY33 are shown here presenting the Westchester Medical Center Burn Unit with gifts.  The chapter had its first charity raffle on Sept. 6, 2008 which raised over $1,700.00.  The unit sent the chapter a wish list and the members were able to purchase everything on that list, which included a Wii system, that will help patients of all ages with their rehabilitation.  The Stanley Fat Max was generously donated by Home Depot of Wappinger Falls, NY to serve as an art cart, which the members of NY 33 completely filled with art supplies.  Also donated was "Harley the Bear" (Who has become their mascot), to wish everyone a speedy recovery.

Members of Georgia Chapters 13 and 16 joined together to ride in a poker run to benefit Tommy Hauesler, a firefighter with Crisp County Fire Rescue, who was severely injured in an apparatus accident with a tractor trailer.  Approximately 125 riders took part in the poker run and raised around $5,000 to help with his medical expenses.

NY 04 has adopted a highway and NO ONE will litter on it or even use it.

Members of Red Knights Maryland 1 participated in the 10th Annual Red Helmets Ride to the National Fallen Firefighter Memorial in Emmetsburg, MD on Oct 4th, 2008.  It was a great day for riding, NO RAIN for once.  Close to 600 motorcycles were Police escorted from Frederick to the Memorial at the National Fire Academy.  As we rode on Campus under a large American Flag, we were greeted by the families and friends of the fallen firefighters.  A wreath laying at the base of the Memorial concluded the Ride.

Riders from all over the Country came to pay tribute to these Heroes and to show support to the families.

Maryland 1 hopes to continue to offer to do this each year for the children of those being Honored.
